Ripening Tomatoes

Just come across this article. Not so sure about the salt treatment but some interesting points. Any comments?

This year Galina, Sungold and Sweet million all ripened the same time for me-I only grow them outside in pots at home.

Interesting info!

I'd never have thought about the salt treatment, but it seems logical.

As for Sungold, he's absolutely right; they rushed along here, and a plant we kept going from last year, produced two weeks before this year's new plants!

As for fewer trusses, this is the norm for outdoor toms, and some I have on The Patch only have two trusses, but they are Marmande, and fat and ugly as a consequence!
