Gardening programmes on TV
« on: June 05, 2018, 15:06 »
Last Friday I watched such a programme with a man and his pet dogs (you know who I mean).  At the end of the programme I had to laugh.  Olive trees in big pots, and I get my loam from my 'turf stack', and in the winter bring it into your very large greenhouse - oh please.
I haven't got a turf stack, and neither do I have a very big greenhouse, and if I did, I wouldn't be able to move said pot anyway.
But what I have got, is an enormous olive tree, in the centre of my gravel garden.  I bought it as a £30 plant a few years back, and now I have to annually have it reduced.  I am on the top of the south downs, so its very happy with our prevailing winds etc.  And so I don't need A 'TURF STACK'   Mrs Bouquet
