Too late for manure???
« on: February 04, 2010, 14:32 »
Hi all,

Only last week aquired my allotment. Needs to be dug over, just wondering if its too late now to put manure down, especially in my potatoe and onions beds, or should i just make do and hope the soil has enough nutroition for this year?!

Cheers, stuart.
Start at the beginning, and finish at the end!!

As long as it's well rotted - not too late for those.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I manured my spud bed about a week before I planted them with no problems at all last year.  The manure was well rotted though.
