Thanks for all your suggestions, I've looked at these and plenty others on Wiki and the screen shots on all are far to sophisticated for what I'm looking for. The game I had had basic squares to travel across all be it they where slightly oblique almost gave a 3D appearance.
I also started with a speccy 48. I thought I'd like to show the grandkids the height of technology in 1985. Couldn't get anywhere. Took it to a computer firm who pronounce it dead.

The only games I've played on a pc are Solitaire and Sling-back Santa! Would love to try a flight simulator. Anyone know if they can be used on a stand alone pc?
