OK, so I used what was intended as humorous exclamation mark instead of a smilie.  I sorry that some of you view this as a great transgression.  I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!

I've looked outside. The world still seems to be turning and it's going to rain again. It appears everything else is still carrying on. I've more important things to worry about than an exclamation mark, I hope you have also.

End of.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

thanks for the advice everyone. I love rhubarb and it's so pricey in the shops so I'd like to keep the plant growing if possible. I'll definitely be buying a lot of crowns in the autumn.

I wouldn't take offence DD, I wrote the message late last night and should have written stalks so not to accidentally poison unsuspecting posters.

But on a wider point, I got told off by another poster for using the term radishes instead of radish the other day when I posted what I had harvested.

I don't think I will bother posting again on that thread if the grammar police are patrolling there!  The best bit was that, later that night, I opened this month's issue of The Garden and saw that it was clearly printed "more info on growing radishes on page xx"!!  Made me smile!

Sorry for hijacking your thread yorkiegal and good luck with your rhubarb.

I think I can see the post you mean, but I think the poster was making the point that they had harvested one radish, whilst yours was plural.

(Did I get the smilie right?)
