Turkey nest box
« on: March 04, 2011, 14:35 »
hi i want to make a nest box for my turkey coop before they start to lay but cant find anywhere that says the sizes this should be. Is it just the fact that i cant find the sizes or do turkeys not tend to have next boxes? thanks matt.

No idea myself!
So I looked in my haynes chicken manual and it give size of shed etc for turkeys but just said the floor should have a good covering of straw for bedding but no mention of nestbox.
It will be interesting to find out tho  :)

There is a good photo on here somewhere of about 3 hens and a turkey wedged into a cat carrier all trying to lay at the same time. :)
