Ive had a notice from the council about an overgrown part of my plot. I'm going to go down and just pull all the weeds up (what do i do with them after?!) and I was then thinking as I wont have time to work this section before the frosts start I would cover it for winter.
Now ive seen some black plastic sheeting on ebay - this is the description:
Black polythene plastic sheet 10m x 4m
Ideal for the home, garden, allotment or workplace
Cut to size - 10 metres long x 4 metres wide
Description - This heavyweight black polythene sheet is ideal for many tasks such as building work, weed suppression under gravel, plants, paving or new turf
also ideal as a waterproof outdoor covering, for temporary roof or window repairs
and many other tasks in the home, garden or workplace
Thickness - 125 Micron (mu) / 500 Gauge
Condition - New
Environmentally friendly - Made from recycled plastic materials
Its £22.99 do you think this will be think enough at 125micron?
I did think I'd go the really cheap route and go and ask Tesco for brown packing boxes but Im concerned that Ill then get a letter stating that it looks un-sightly?!!
Any advice greatly received!
