Progress of square foot garden
« on: June 13, 2009, 21:20 »
Hi everyone.  The square foot garden I have planted in my front garden is going well.  I changed a couple of the squares today to leeks and red cabbage.  Photo below:

What do you think?

You've got more to harvest there than I've got on my half plot  ::)

Nice one  ;)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Bet your neighbours start their own next year  ;)

It is amazing to be honest.  When I make my salad for lunch in the mornings I go out to the front garden to get my salad leaves and then go to the greenhouse for my cucumber.  If only winter never came!

Well, I have taken the plunge and sent the photograph to the local newspaper as an entry into their gardening competition!  Their small front garden competition is for front gardens under 50M - think mine just about squeezes into that!!  I will let you know if I get through to the next round which is when the judges come round to visit it.

Has anyone ever entered a competition like this before?
