Ate these apples Falstaff variety ?
« on: October 04, 2019, 23:26 »
I inherited an apple tree on my plot. The tree is mature; about 7 feet high and a very heavy cropper. Fruit are up to 12 oz each; sweet/slightly acid and extremely tasty. I took about 80 fine apples this year. It's a wonderful tree for its size. Any apple experts out there to confirm the Falstaff designation, please?

Thanks

Lucky you, just enjoy them - I doubt anyone here could definitely confirm it, there are soooo many different varieties it could be :)
Brogdale have an apple ID service, for £25 - if you really need to know ;)

Could you take them along to be identified at an apple day? Maybe Lardman would know but he’s not been by for a while?
