Is it OK to plant broad beans in a polytunnel?  I usually get black fly on mine and wondered if being in a polytunnel might help.

Autumn or winter planted ones will do fine but I would avoid spring/summer cropping ones as I find they don't like the increased heat so much and don't set as well. If you plant outside now you should also avoid blackfly as these are more prevalent after these type have usually finished cropping.

I grew some last winter year in my tunnel and they really didn't do well. I'm going to try again and if no joy this winter will call it a day for beans.
