« on: September 30, 2018, 11:38 »
I need help naming this plant please. It's self seeds and I have been cultivating the seedlings and giving them to friends. This is one of the. They spread to about 2 ft and long flower stalks come out of them with round ball like yellow flowers along the spear - blue light flower then stalk for about 6-inches then other ball like flower. Flower spring summer time.   when I get home later I will take a picture of the plant actually in my garden. but at friends now and would love to give them a name

Probably hollyhock, although they are usually a bit more than 2' tall...
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

I don't think it is hollyhock unless it is a different type than I am used to - here is a picture of the plant  -hopefully much easier to identify now

Crikey, it could hardly be less like a hollyhock!

Will leave the ID to those more, er, fluent in Latin than me (e.g. MoS ;))

The leaves look like Echinacea but not the dead flower heads.

Not sure if that helps.
