This poppy flowered last week

I think plants are about as mixed up about the seasons as we are. My purple sprouting broccoli has just about finished, I wasn’t expecting it to start just yet

Unusual.. but what a lovely surprise.

We had a red anemone de caen out in January. A real splash of colour with most Spring flowers being pale

I think you're right Snowdrops, we have dwarf iris flowering too

There are iris that flower at this time, 1 called Katherine something springs to mind & At Hodsock Priory on Wednesday there were some others out, a lovely dark purple one that I forgot to buy!
