I use dust extracted wood shavings for bedding in the coop.  A decent layer can be kept clean for a few weeks by poo-picking as often as you can and topping up the shavings.  Then the coop needs a good deep clean, so you can check for red mite.

For the run, I tend to hose it down in the summer if it needs it.  Mine has a deep litter of bark and I chuck a lot of allotment greens, weeds and the like in there.

The more you do on a regular basis, the easier it will be  :)

A tub of biodri for the coop. Sprinkle it around with a smallish kitchen sieve.

If the run is undercover sprinkle it in the run as well on top of straw.

Twenty odd quidish but it lasts months and months for me. (I have three chickens)

I don't know much about lime but it may burn the chooks. I think it would be ok if there was no livestock present for a while.  :)

I haven't used this product myself, but reading up on it, it sounds good - cleans, disinfects and kills any lurking mites or eggs.

If you are using a wooden shed as a coop, it may be worth getting some plastic trays for the floor.  My coops are both plastic and came with removable trays.  It makes cleaning up very easy.  You could use gravel trays or grow bag trays from the garden centre.

The Smite still sounds like a good idea, but you might not want to spray a wet product into a wooden coop on a weekly basis over the winter. Summer would be fine, it would dry very quickly.  In winter, it might sit around, make the coop damp and encourage mould.

Agree New Shoot and any mould would cause respiratory problems for chooks.  :)
