Lady Katy in her private Wing!

The sad saga of Katy the knicker snipper continues. :(
The bumper bit came off yesterday after 2 weeks continuous wear, and this morning she's at it again with the feather pulling.
However, during that fortnight we have been busy and have properly annexed part of the big run so we now have the option of separating her from her friends when they are all in the run.
Following this mornings fall from grace she is now installed in her private wing. She has her own everything including separate smaller coop with her own private nest box.  She will mix with the others under supervision when they come out into the garden, but apart from that, from now on, she's on her own. Needs must.
Only one niggle in the arrangement is how she will fare sleeping on her own through winter.  We are near the coast in Pembrokeshire so don't get prolonged frosty weather, but even so.
I could I suppose return her to the big coop to sleep, but is that going to cause confusion?
Can anyone offer advice on how to manage separation please?

Its not ideal for a hen to be on her own, even if the others are just through the wire.

I'm sure she will be warm enough - mine regularly sit at opposite ends of the roosting bars when they have had a 'handbags' moment and fallen out during the day, but hens are social creatures and don't like being alone.

Could she just have a few days at a time in her own run, then return to the flock with her bumper bit for another 2 weeks stint?  No guarantees, but a few treatments may get it through to her and it would give her company for most of the time.

I think it comes back to trying to change the pecking order again.

Put her on her own for between 7 and 10 days. Do not let her out to mingle or in the coop with the others. Keep her totally separate at all times.

I would also suggest not even letting her out in the garden on her own as you want the others to start thinking that they are the superior ones and control the area.

Just don't know New Shoot. The bit isn't really ideal either because it limits what she can eat.  There was some frantic grass grazing the minute it came off. Think she was only managing to eat the scratched up thatch whilst it was on.  As for treats such as an apple, no way.  :(
It was a peaceful fortnight though. Does anyone have experience of longer term beak clip use?
Not sure about alternating her accommodation.  I'm worried she might get confused and stressed about it. They do seem to like routine.
I'm making sure she isn't pining away though. Wouldnt let that happen. Her section of the run is near the main feeder, so she is close to the action. The intention was to let her mix and socialise under supervision because if I'm there and she starts her nonsense then I can distract her, or pick her up. I am around in the garden most dry afternoons.
One benefit of working through all solutions known to man is that I am getting clearer about why she's doing it.
It's not nutritional because I notice she's not actually eating them anymore, and it's not boredom because she's now doing it even when they are out free ranging.  Conclusion is, it probably is about enforcing her position as head chook.
I agree Mr Design, one way or another the pecking order has got to change.  The only way it's going to stop is if the others retaliate when she tries it on, instead of just standing there and letting her do it.  I need to provoke s rebellion!
