Hi there!

I lived in sunny Stafford (right in the town centre) but have recently moved out into the sticks just the other side of Eccleshall in a small place called Wetwood :)

Thanks, Im already planning a new coop build :)
It was alot easy to build than I thought and worked out quite cheap :)
Need to allot a much bigger run are though, id never keep chickens if they didnt have enough space to run round and play :)

One of my young ladies has blessed me with my first 'home grown' egg ever this morning!
I feel I need to reward her.... If only I knew which one of them layed it! :)

The leghorn and copper maran look very young. Not sure about the speckled ones, but their wattles look very large. I presume the specked ones are laying?

What age should they be?

Yes I'm with Grinling I'd say one of the speckled is laying, the others look very young.

Welcome to the Chicken keepers forum,

My speckled layed at 19 weeks I recon, I only had her a few days :)
rip Sandy, rip Beryl, Henrietta

Know what would be nice in your garden, a few hens lol

Just in the process of finishing the new run and coop will try and put some pics up when I'm finished but I'm quite hopeless when it comes to that sort of thing to be honest
