Any one sowed carrots yet?

Hi all weather is still a bit cool here in Hampshire I have prepared a bed for some carrots but am wondering whether I am too early to sow what do you think??

I put 2 small rows of earlies in a couple of weeks ago under cover and another 2 yesterday, nothing showing yet.  I'm probably too early.

i put a row in  10 days ago    there just showing now  think ill clotch them up tomorrow

I have some in a box, and some in the ground under a cloche, complete with some slugbait 

I sowed a couple of deep buckets a few days ago in a cold greenhouse, Nantes early and Paris market, trying to steal a little time on the growing season, Dave

I was going to say try Paris Market. I sowed some on 6 April last year. They didn't all germinate, but there were enough to make it worth while. Saved thinning them out too.

Don't say, yes, but you're in Spain... We had a hard frost a couple of mornings ago and even when there's no frost, it's pretty chilly here at night.

I haven't sown anything outside yet, but was wondering about trying some carrots in either my greenhouse bed  or in deep pots filled with mushroom compost. Good idea or not?
