Apple Trees
« on: March 26, 2015, 18:03 »
Hi to all,

Three years ago I planted about 25 apple trees, some of the trees have flowered this year however from photos of apple blossoms I have seen on the internet my blossoms have me a little worried. I have attached some photos and would appreciate anyone who can confirm that my trees are apple. Thanks.

Growing is a waiting game, with that first blossom all the time and hard work is a distant memory.

The leaves look right and the blossom is typical of a tip bearing species. What variety are they supposed to be?

Kghareeb, it would really help other forum members if you could put your country in your forum profile - otherwise people will continue to assume you're in the UK by default, and you won't get focused responses to your questions.  Thanks  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Hullo Kghareeb,

I would not worry that your trees do not look like Dave NE's

It is looks very dry where you are.
That may be why you only have leaves and flowers on the tips of the branches.

There is a photo of Golden Delicious flowers at this link:

Do your flowers look anything like that?

Thanks maloneranger, actually the trees have just started to bud and the shoots are starting to burst. I don't have flowers yet. Last two years I had plenty of leaves without flower, this is the first blossem I have seen on these trees. I should also add that I did prune these trees heavily this year.
