They should be ok I think - it's just the mild weather we're having.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I would cut the canes down and forego a crop next year in favour of establishing canes for the following year.  The canes you have won't grow much, they will send up suckers next Spring which will carry the crop the following year, so its asking quite a lot of the plants to crop in their first year.
