Antibiotics and Flubenvet?
« on: September 11, 2014, 07:32 »
Hi all,

My chook had a shot of synulox (antibiotic) yesterday. She hadn't been to week and we are due to worm all the chooks this weekend. My question is, I would like to bring worming forward, can I give flubenvet now while she has the antibiotic in system? (And believe it will be for the next7days as we can't eat eggs)

Many thanks :)
Keep calm & talk to chickens :)

personally I would wait at least week so you don't overload her system with medication (A/B's can give her the runs so try her on a live yoghurt to put the good bacteria back into her or Avipro plus). You can still eat the eggs when they are on Flubenvet so don't worry about extending the egg ban.
Staffies are softer than you think.
