For those of you who do summer bedding and tubs, you may be considering what to grow to plant next spring.
Well, I have done a trial over the last 2 summers on Verbena.  In 2007 I grew Waterfall Mixed, and F1 White, I noticed that the Waterfall (which is lilacs, deep purple and cream) went to powdery mildew, on its silvery/grey leaves, whilst the White on very green leaves, weren't affected.  So this year I grew the same again, with the same results.  The Waterfall was lifted and discarded about 2 months ago, whilst the White is still in the bed, flowering away.  Have you had any experiences of similar with other plants  :?:  Mrs Bouquet
