Kelsae onions

Hello,
First time on here,
I Have planted my Kelsae onion seedlings out in raised bed today I have planted them 12" apart now someone as told me they should 20" apart have I planted them close Thank you

According to Mr Fothergills

Plant out into your onion bed in late April to early May, approximately 30cm (12”) apart.

The only reason to plant them further apart, I think, would be if you were trying to grow giant onions for exhibition. Snap NS
