Think this is one of the places I looked at and for one of those big bags (like builders get sand in) it was £95! (delivered) Almost choked on my tea! Decided that when I finally get round to it will collect it myself from one of the people who offer it for free here. Even a 500 mile round trip and the cost of a thank you token would be cheaper than that!

Apologies to Mr Muck if it was not them charging this much. Goes to show what they say it true, "Where there's muck, there's brass!"

Let's do the math people. Calculators out.

OK I want a tonne of manure. That's 40 x 25 kg sacks. That will be at £4.50.each.

40 x £4.50 = ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY.

Bl@@dy Hell
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

We found someone who's near us (Cornwall/Devon border) who delivers and charges 80p per 25kg bag (I think there is a minimum of 10 bags or something like that).

Kinda puts things into perspective.

Hi all
On our allotments we get horse manure for £20 for approximatly 2 tons delivered to the gate of your plot most of it is at least 18 months old. Only problem is it is not in bags  so a lot of shovel work (still it keeps you warm) :)

We get it for nothing. And people still moan about the quality...
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
