Two years ago my supplier said in the small print that they would not send out seed potatoes if there were frosts forecast so they didn't end up stuck in the back of a freezing cold post van.

Very sensible  ;)

I found this place last summer they sell unusual and blight resistant types of seed potatoes.
https://www.quickcrop.co.uk/shop/subcat/potatoes   Don't know if i would like purple mash or chips.

I haven't tried them yet but i am interested in the blight resistant spuds.

Are they serious prices? £1.35 for three tubers and postage on top.

I'll pay less than that for a kilo!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Just had a look - £4.30 for THREE Sarpo Mira seed potatoes including postage.

Not sure what sort of buyer they are targeting, but I do hope it's not too many members of this forum!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Last year (and I hope again this year but haven't looked yet) my nearest nursery stocked around two dozen different varieties. They are happy to order more form me if they run short of anything in particular.

It's very popular with growers for some good distance around so makes a decent profit at reasonable prices.

I really would try to avoid paying postage as they are heavy things.

Has anybody had their JBA delivery?

I ordered some a few weeks ago, but they seem to be having some problems with their website, so I don't know whats happening with my order.

I've had no response to the message I sent them, but with their website not functioning correctly I'm not sure it got through.

JBA won't send them while it's this cold - they'd freeze in the vans
