What do Crown Prince taste like?

In a word... delicious.  I'm also finding they are keeping well despite still being on the kitchen windowsill.  Easy to grow too.
Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....

Would definitely recommend crown prince to anyone. They're delicious; almost nutty in flavour and the flesh is an amazing colour.

I've grown ones that have kept well in to the next summer, and still been perfectly edible.

I love squashes, they're so versatile, and great fun to grow.

I had a total headache yesterday when the 2 pumks I left in the garage had been found (by my husband unfortunately - he was not impressed) to have completely disintegrated all over our stuff in the garage. Pumpkin juice everywhere. But the butternuts which I have been keeping inside are totally fine. Where is the sense in that? Note to self : check stored veg more often!!!

Cheryl, I suspect the ones in the garage have been frosted with the really cold weather in December  :( .  The ones indoors will have been saved that fate.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
