Hello

I am a new member and I would like some help please.
I am growing some green peppers in my polytunnel on my allotment and something is eating the leaves what can I do to stop this please?

Are you able to post a picture of the type of damage so we can see it? Different pests leave different types of damage.

I will try but the leaves have been bitten and eaten but the stem has not been touched.

If the damage starts at the edge of the leaves and the edge of the damage itself is rounded, snails could be your culprit.

There are lots of approaches to dealing with snails and slugs. You can find them and dispose of them, though this might mean night-time outings with a torch. You could put down pellets. There are assorted methods for trapping them, such as saucers of beer in which they drown. You could try circling the plants with something you think the snails won't like, such as ash or chilli powder.

Mind you, I'm only guessing it's snails.

I am sorry unable to upload picture but from what you have said it sounds like snails. I have put some pallets down now in hope to keep them out.
