was just moving a large lupin i have had for years, well i first sowed the seed 5yrs ago and have taken seed from it since.
anyway as i dug it up i seen that it was badly infected with VINE WEEVIL i dug out all the soil in the bed and dumped it, then i washed the whole roots before replanting it in fresh compost.
anyone have the same problem?

I get terrible vine weevil in pots and I have tried that Provado stuff - don't bother, i did them twice and the plants still got  destroyed. In the garden I get them but they don't seem to do major damage. Despite the huge cost, I'm going to try the organic nematode solution this year - I've used the slug nematodes and the scale insect ladybirds and they do work. In the end, organic always seems to be best
