Picalilli - Oh Dear.
« on: October 20, 2013, 10:17 »
I have just made some picillili for the OH. Taken me  a while to get round to it as I don't really like cauliflower or piccalilli but it is one of Nick's favourites.

Now I know it needs to mature for a few weeks but tasted a bit as there was a little that doesn't fit into the jars and OMG!

It's gorgeous! Nick will now have to compete with me for the stuff! :tongue2: :tongue2: :tongue2: Nothing like the hideous shop bought stuff.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Homemade piccalilli is nothing like the shop bought stuff. It is gorgeous.

I have made just over 80 jars including some for us to have with the festive meats and pate.
I sold out so quickly last year that I trebled the quantity this year.

You can add some chopped chillies to it to ring the changes or a couple of tablespoons of yellow mustard seeds too. ;)
