Very nice :) Good idea re the tyres - we used to grow spuds in ours when we had a lottie.

We spent a happy few hours clearing behind the garden shed until the rain got too bad. It was scary because we've not been behind there in the 8 years we've lived here. Found an old wooden bedframe, 10 big framed panes of glass (plotting a coldframe now), an old bike, an iron rammer thing with a big blobby end ... hacked back the brambles from the railway embankment, and cleared inside the shed. I now have about 200 pots of varying sizes to scrub and store. Good progress made here thanks to my man :)

Spent 3+hrs bramble hacking this morning. When the rain started, I just left the overhead 'arch' and worked on the lower levels, reasonably dry. Todays find...........a bath full of water! Take me ducky next week  8)

Fed up with it  :(  the grounds far too wet to do much with, my plots on a slope so its not as bad as those on the top who have standing water.

Got out my car this morning and was greeted with "Squelch". That's it thought I dumped my stuff for composting and went for a natter at the lottie shop.

On the bright side the council man's dropped me off a load of leaves about 4' high 3' deep and almost the whole width of my plot  8)

It's been a lovely day here today, only managed an hour on the allotment though, our lass has broken her arm and I just don't seem to get any time lately :(
In fact, the whole year has been bad for me with one thing and another.
Never mind, I have already started looking through the seed catalogues for next year. :D
