planted runner beans outside in pots in plastic greenhouse, got them out today to leave in garden - they have to take their chances -put poles up but bototm leaves already chewed !   slugs already !?
will buy pellets today (Organic)  but does the copper tape work??  also is it true they wnt cross gravel ??

They crossed my red chip gravel to climb up the house wall.  I saw a great big one the other day - really grossed me out.

yes they are about i flicked one of some fascia board on my front garden yesterday so i can put together a cold frame.

Did you see the chap on I think the one show? He was a slug expert and he said some students did a slug removal in a garden, the first year they collected 31000, the second 40 odd thousand and third again 40 od thousand. He claimed you could not kill all the slugs.

We used wide copper tape around the seedlings we planted in the garden one year, and surprisingly it did work, but you have to be diligen and make sure it is lying flat so they can't get underneath, and get it as wide as possible.
