Hi,

Is it normal for rhubarb to look like it’s dying back at this time of year?

Mine looks like it’s rotting away.  I only picked a few stalks.

I hoping it’s just preparing for winter by sending the nutritants back into the root.

quite normal. just clear old stalks and leaves away. if you have some fym or compost put around the crowns.

They'll be fine, rhubarb crowns do look pretty ropey when just the crowns remain, don't worry!
