Fox watch
« on: June 14, 2009, 11:19 »
Hi I have just brought a 'Foxwatch' it says on the box that it is inaudible to the human ear but I can hear it giving off a clicking sound when ever I walk pass. Is this right?

I use to be indecisive now I'm not so sure

That's right, the click is just to tell humans it's working :)

Do they actually work? I have seen the cat ones and watched a tom cat leave his mark on it so I know that one wasn't working very well :)

You can never prove a negative but since I installed a FoxWatch in my garden 3 years ago the local fox goes throuch my neighbours gardens instead of coming into mine.

Any links to this foxwatch system? We back onto open farmland and the fox really is a constant threat.  I rather like Fox's so making them avoid the area rather than having to deal with them would be nice.

Hi Aunt Sally how long do the batteries last in your foxwatch? with mine going off every time the chickens move I'm thinking it might be cheaper in the long run to get an outside socket and buy the adapter.

I've always run mine on the mains adaptor.  I wouldn't like to risk the battery going flat and a fox getting in

That's what I am worried about too. I have never seen a fox round here  but I know they are around, my neighbour says he seen them at the local mcdonalds :tongue2: :tongue2: being fed by customers. perhaps they wont fancy trying to catch fresh chicken after hamburgers.
