Hi,I just wanted to say I have 4 broody hens,3 are due to hatch at the weekend and one early next week.This is my second attempt at natural hatching,here are two girls sitting-and growling for me to get out!hehe!

Whats the hen on the right, she looks really young to of gone broody, her comb isnt even up, didnt realise they went broody so young, good luck for this weekend. nickyx

I was told she is a buff orpington cross bantam-she is called "Bitsy",i have had her nearly a year now,the previous owner had her for about the same so she must be 18 months or older.usually she is a very good egg layer!
Specks on the left I purchased from Cambridge poultry last july and she was at point of lay then.
here hoping and keeping my fingers crossed!xx

I have eggs under a hen which are due this weekend too. It is exciting.

OMG,my hen Specs is due to hatch tomorrow,I popped in earlier and could not believe we have three chicks,they are Soo gorgeous!!
I am not sure to check her every so often just to make sure they all have come ok only two others are chipping?!
Specs is a speckeldy sitting on 6 welsummer eggs!

so sweet, Grannie Annie hatched me a couple of welsummers from eggs I got from TeaPots, I love the colour of welsummer eggs :D
