Where can I find Miniature Silver Appleyards?!!!!
« on: April 29, 2010, 15:02 »
Hello, I've currently got a trio of Mini Appleyards and am desperate to add to my flock, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack!! I've tried all the breeders on the suppliers list on this site, all the breeders on the Waterfowl Association site and all the usual auction sites on line, but with no luck. I'm waiting to see if any appear at the rare breeds auction at Salisbury on 15th May, but other than that, I've drawn a blank.  I'm in the process of hatching some of my own eggs, but would like some unrelated.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Only one of my first four eggs hatched and he/she is now a week old, I will post photos when I can work out how!! ::)

Where abouts are you? There is a breeder in Whitstable that I know of if you're anywhere near Kent

Hi Tania, I live just north of Basingstoke in Hampshire, but Kent isn't impossible.  I'd be more than happy to travel.  It takes me just under two hours to get to Dover, if that helps.  I'm not sure how you can pass the info to me, I think there are rules about it on here!

if you have an incubator or broody, i know a place where you might find them, if you can get to the auction sale at brigg in yorkshire on a thursday morning, they have just about every type of egg from all sorts of different breeds and stuff there goes pretty cheap, i got 15 faverolles and gold dorking eggs for about £2
