Aggresive Cockerels related to color
« on: October 31, 2009, 13:27 »
I have just started keeping hens.  I have 12 hens and one cockerel.  They are free range but locked away each night.
I have had these from chicks.  I have recently found that when I let them out in the morning the cockerel has 'gone' for me.  I have stopped him by using water.
However do any members have knowledge if Cockerels may react to color.
I notice that some colors have provoked a more aggressive action than others.

Has anyone any knowledge or advice on this?

Many thanks.
