Just to let you know 'marina' garden shop on ebay are selling fleece covers for plants/shrubs at a good deal.

I paid 3 quid for a large fleece cover for my fig x 2 pack and they sent me an extra (total 4 fleece covers).  the reason is that there is a manufacturing on some but not all the covers so they might not last the winter - still, 4 jackets for 3 quid, I am happy with that.
