Chook only area... phase 1 complete... and other random photos

Well, after 2 weekends of hard work...

ta daaaaaaaaaa...


Not bad, even if I do say so myself, methinks!  And all accomplished without outside help... so big thumbs up to girls being handy people too ;)

After my escapades yesterday, the fence should now be chook proof (my hands bear the tale of my struggle with the chicken wire   :dry: )

So, after a day digging, and planting (what is hopefully safe from chooks), I thought I'd take some photos of the occupants:

Sage, one of my original ISA girls


And Onion, her friend:



A pancaked Rosie (chicks due next Sunday hopefully!)


And a couple of my growers...

Catching what rays there are




And on the hunt for insects:


The growers are doing really well, and should be "ready" in another 6 weeks I reckon... however it may be that they start crowing first, and then that's it... first one to crow loses the race... so to speak!

Well Done you!  Girl Power!  It looks lovely Casey, and your girls are obviously happy with their new home!

Just goes to show what can be achieved with a bit of effort!!
