Hi there all,
I have an allotment that needs some TLC and know how - more than I have to date on my own. It is a privately owned plot and was one of the originally designated kitchen gardens for some of the mill workers living in the model village provided by Colonel Akroyd. It is now in the designated conversation area known as Akroydon and has covenants on it preventing building or introduction of livestock of any kind. My father bought it for me a year or so before he died and as I am now semi-retired I hope to be able to spend more time on it than I have previously. I hope to learn a few tips from more experienced allotmenteers on this site!

Hi Librarylottie.
What a wonderful gift from your father
I look forward to hearing about your growing in the coming season. Plenty of experience on here you can share, and of course add yours in too as you go along
