No but I'm tempted to drink my way through the bottles required... ;)

I do have to say, I have never heard of it - have you seen one somewhere?

do you think that the 'square' water bottled would allow fewer draughts?

I like the idea as I would not get a greenhouse because we can get very blustery,  A bottle greehouse may let enough wind through to not do any damage...  Not very French Farmhouse Garden though!!!

Also filling with the bottles with water (sealing the bottom one) should help to keep it warmer.

Hi Grinling
When you use the bottles you cut off the bottom end so the bottles fit together and you  put a cane into the middle

Maybe to block gaps you could run some silicone sealant down each line... yes may take a while but might hold up or even wrapping a whole wall in cling film or similar again would help improve and we all know how hard it is to tear cling film especially if you can get your hands on the commercial stuff used to wrap pallets of boxes

Obviously you have to cut the bottoms off, but if the end one is sealed you put water in the other end when in place to fill with water. Only downside I can see to this before someone points it out is that the water might go stagnant and so a smelly green greenhouse. :D
