You know we get the old door and window frames from the local conservatory place?  Well, some weeks ago they were taking out the old doors and windows from a small factory or office block, and the frames are about 8ft high.

Brian thought they would do nicely to make the frame to extend the brooder house to take more chicks, and started to cut it yesterday on his table saw.  Thought it was labouring a bit, and when he looked, all these frames, must be 20 of them are OAK but were painted white!!!

So we'll have an oak framed brooder house!!!!!!

Very nice too :D
When we first came to live here 20 years ago the local Butlins was doing a refurbishment of the chalets. In truth they should have been demolistioning them but the upshot of this was that I managed to have over 400 Butlins frontdoors dropped off. I used them to make pig arks, chicken sheds and all sort of stuff. Some of the graffiti written on them was quite graffic and amusing.

Yeah but we didn't really. The place looked like a shanty town for years.

The offcuts should burn nicely too !

It just shows how much money is wasted in British business. All that expense on oak and they paint it white

Oh well. Their loss is your gain and you'll make better use of them too.  :)

I bet Brian is like a pig in muck.  8)
