Hi chaps Is this big (football size) object a squash or a marrow or whatever please, and what's the best use ?

Also I grew french beans and didn't like them so left them to dry, so does anyone know what they would be called ? are they Pinto, Borlotti or something else and are they worth keeping to cook ?

So many of the squash look the same, that I wouldn't like to give it a name. I'd cut it into wedges and roast it, sprinkled with a little salt and mild chilli powder/paprika works for me 
You can eat the dried seeds from French bean plants, some are nicer than others - but sorry, what you call them depends on what the packet says they are

The first picture is definitely a squash but as said, you need the original packet or plant label. Next year - keep a record perhaps.   

But you can eat it anyway.
