MY WIFE GOT ME AN OCTOGROW KIT AND EXTENSION FOR MY XMASS PRESSIE.  IVE GOT TOMS, CHILLI, AND CUCUMBERS SET IN THEM.  WOW THEY ARE LOOKIN BETTER THAN THEY HAVE EVER LOOKED WHEN I DID THEM IN GROW BAGS OR GREENHOUSE BORDERS. THEY WORK WITH CAPILLERY MATS SUPPLIED IN THE KIT AND KEEP THE SOIL / COMPOST JUST DAMP ENOUGH .   IVE JUST HAD A BIRTHDAY AND GUESS WOT I ASKED FOR,  YEP ANOTHER OCTOGROW KIT, I'M GONNA TRY MY AUBERGINES IN THIS SET.
THEY ARE EXPENSIVE BUT SHOULD LAST FOR YEARS. SHE GOT EM FROM SUTTONS AT A COST OF £60 OR £70,  IVE ONLY HAD TO TOP UP THE RESERVOIR ONCE IN TWO MONTHS.
I ALSO USED THE TRAYS WITH MATTING TO KEEP THE SEEDLINGS DAMP UNTIL IT WAS TIME TO POT UP IN THE KITS.  BRILLIANT!!!!

I use one of these connected to a water but next to my greenhouse

I got it last year and it did great, kept the toms alive through me being away for 2 weeks on holiday.

I hve replaced the drippers this year with

this year as the old ones were bunged up and I couldnt be bothered to clean them

I have no connection to either of the sellers above, they are just examples

Anyone got any thoughts on drip kits with bags. I don't have a tap in the allotment handy.
