Title: Is there such a thing
Post by: Redwellies on April 25, 2007, 21:07
As a website that shows what vegetables seedlings look like when they first appear.

I sowed some poached egg seeds, I think they are coming up but there is a weed that is almost identicle, the only difference being one is lighter in colour than the other, Florence Fennel as well.  A parsnip I now know what it looks like, but that was only by someone pointing it out to me, but by that time, it was forrage through the weeds to find one.

Some seed packets show the seedlings, which is a brilliant idea, I wish the other companies would cotton on to that.  For amature veggie growers this would be an absolute bonus!!!!

I dont know of one,

this is something i suggested on this forum yesterday, that we create a gallery of pictures of seedlings and other growth stages that can be used to determine whats growing!

OH... No they dont  :!:

We could have a Stickey in GYO, and members post their picture their.  A Mod could then shift it into the main post to keep them all together.

well my thinking goes like this... you'll know in a few weeks what stuff is...

I got in a bit of a "panic" tonight as the greenhouse is full and labels were lost... but what the heck... a butternut squash will look like a butternut squash soon enough :)

My guess would be cauli, Shaun, considering the way the leaves arch downward and no new cabbage head forming yet.
