They Ice Pigged the water main up the road yesterday !
Very clever stuff !

Showing my ignorance again, but what's an Ice Pig, and what does it do?
-
Hi Jaydig , a pig is the term for a pipe cleaning tool which uses the pressure of liquid behind it to scour out the solid matter that builds up in a pipeline in say the oil industry.
An Ice pig is just a plug of crushed ice they can send down a domestic water main to descale without any risk of losing a rigid version and blocking the flow till it is dug out !
Several videos on Youtube if you look for Ice Pigging. :)

Well, you learn something new every day, don't you. I'd never heard of this before. Thanks for the information.

Something new to me as well ::)

Glad it wasn't just me who had no idea of what an ice pig was. I was imagining a very cold, blue looking pig with icicles hanging from his ears and snout. 😆
