Hybrids
« on: May 13, 2011, 14:11 »
Hi

Sorry if this is a stupid question but are there any hybrids that lay green or blue eggs?  I was wanting to get another two chickens and wanted something different but not sure how i would cope with a white star with it being flighty?

Cheers Steve

Cream legbars lay blue eggs. I bought some CL x silkie eggs from fleabay last year to hatch. The resulting hens are black, one lays a green egg, one lays a blue egg and one lays a green speckled egg!

that is an intresting set of hens you have themagicaltoad1! What are cream legbars like as chickens go tempremant etc? Are they flighty? We keep chickens in a walkin run and a little bit of free ranging when we are about!

thanks Steve
