HI there, I've just joined and had a giggle as I am the newest member. My ID always makes me giggle. I have some new raised beds on my plot - oh very posh but really for my husband who likes things to be organised. I am thinking of having netting on them as the plot can be quite windy. Does anyone have any experience with scaffolding netting - it's certainly a lot cheaper than horticultural netting.  Thanks and hello to everyone.

Hi,
I have just bought scaffold debris netting from eBay from a supplier called Safe Homes Shop.

I bought it because I had a major butterfly problem last year. They are certainly not going through this netting.

The service was very quick, and yes it is cheaper, but 50 metres is a lot of netting. Perhaps you should find a neioghbour who wants to share a roll.

Thanks Ian, I'll take a look at that.  Does the netting provide a lot of shade?  I was told by a friend that I will end up with wingly wangly vegetables if I use netting. I grew Garlic through the winter under netting and it looks fine to me but I am quite new to all this.  Thanks Again
