Just accidentally discovered a free food source. As I had to leave early, I put the greens out for the birds last night. This morning when I let the birds out, the greens were covered in slugs and snails all of which are now no more. This must work a treat in the warmer weather.

get a piece of old carpet mate lay it on the soil leave for 2 days and lift the birds will hammer the werms ,, you can lay 2 bits to roatate the treats  :wink: , collect road kill freeze in bags . thaw in the warmer weather hang up and let the flies have it . maggots drop n chucks luv ya // :wink: if you have a friendly butcher ask for the cut of rubbish .put it in a biscuit tin in the garden with a couple hadfulls of sawdust  leave the lid to one side open let flies in 2 days later after you spot eggs  shake the meat the maggots fall into sawdust , feed the chucks  redo the tin...also werks with fish waste from the fresh fish shop :wink:

Careful with snails, they carry parasitic worms.
