Bothy Pictures:
my old run was built inside an old outbuilding.
the coop was a wooden coop bought (somewhere I've forgotten, it was a long time ago) and it was extended when we went to 6 chickens.

thisis the extension that was built in the summer we got the 3 new ones making 6 altogether

(that one is the linking window from the old run to the extension)

Wow!  I bet your chickens would never want to leave, even if presented with the oppertunity.  That is one serious chicken set up  :)

I'm really impressed with how (by accident or design) they have so many levels, bridges, shelves, logs and so on - I'm sure that helps to reduce any boredom-based bullying or bad behaviour.

Bought the coop cheap (ex display), and built the run around it. Can't show any plans 'cos I did it all in my head, well it's pretty empty most of the time so there was lots of room to work

That looks fantastic, is the small run where you put food and water?

That's beautiful Toad!
 :)

(unfortunateyl, my run/house isn't where I live anymore :( - It has been adopted by the Gardener on the estate, though, and he is looking forward to getting a few chickens. There are only 2 remaining of the hens we kept in it (like a huge mansion for 2 hens!) and the gardener is lookign after them until their new home is ready... that won't be with me. complicated story, but  they're going to live with my ex in his new house  )

The small bit is like a green house, when it's cold outside they all stand in there to warm up. I just had some poly sheets laying around spare and thought I'd use them up, it's wind proof as well.

DH and I are getting new hens (there was a custody battle - ex got residence!) in a couple of weeks.

We bought this house and run from Woodenart - Mark and Ian from the company came yesterday, and assembled it in fewer than 2 hours.

Not as impressive as the old setup, but the garden's a lot smaller!
the coop is 3ft x 4ft and the run is 4ft x 12ft3.
and as DH is a postie, they'll have the run of the gardens in the afternoons when he gets home from work!

Yours looks nice Andrea, I had to make something big enough to stand in as the old joints aren't so good at bending down these days lol.

The old setup was done with that in mind.
unfortunately, this house has neighbours, and a smaller garden, so a stand-up run would have looked a bit overpowering  ::)
