Title: onion white rot
Post by: azubah on September 12, 2017, 07:35
I haven't had any onion white rot this year. I usually get it a lot.
Also I got some allium leaf miner early on but the onions recovered and made good bulbs this year.
Could it be due to the weather?

It is usually worse in cool years, rather than hot ones, when soil is also damp (that's why you shouldn't water them)
What has your weather been like?

Cold spring, then wet, then dry, then wet again now. When I first got my plot I had to water seeds sown and small plants in spring, now I rarely water anything any time.
