I think the ornamental cabbage plants are terrible   And gardinia smell dreadful.  We once had a plant come up- right by the step, so we always brushed past it and  it really smelt bad.  I was going on a coach trip to Dixter to see the gardens and I told another person on the coach about the plant- she asked if it smelt of BO and I said yes, she said it´s common name was Smelly Armpit and it was part of the Salvia family.  When we got to Dixter there was a hedge almost of it, right at the back of the flower bed so you couldn´t brush against it.  To get rid of the plant I had to cover the plant with a bin bag and pull it up then put the bin bag inside another 2 bin bags before the smell was masked

I'm not a fan of ornamental cabbage either, or pampass grass for that matter, and yes, there are a lot of plants, that irritate your nose, it was the flowering currant that had to go first, when we moved, as it smelled of urine to me any time I went outside, nearby it. I first did blame the dog for a long while.

Next is cotton lavender flowers, ooh. And then, I hate the stink of marigolds a lot, too.

There was a question on Gardeners' Question Time once "where is the best place to grow pampas grass?" to which the reply from one of the panel was "Argentina". I agree.

I hate crocosmia and it's been in every garden i have had. ( what's the chances of that :!: ) Luckily it's not on my allotment. :D

I love the red crocosmia Lucifer and my mate has a yellow one which looks fab. The common ones are a bit annoying when you get too many (like I have )  :D

I only had the ordinary ones, maybe if I had some of the new varieties I would have liked them.

though I like smaller cordylines I hate the huge ones in the middle of a paved garden with no other plants around
Pampas grass should be outlawed :-)
as should rhododendron, a lot of species have caused so much harm to our woodland and park areas - though not all
geraniums, because I cant grow them indoors, but the wild ones have taken over my 2 beds where I just about to plant veg
emerald trees because I always kill them, though they are beautiful, in fact they were my first plant
cheese plants - erm cheesy :-)

Oh I agree! When we moved into this house, before I felt it was 'mine' I kept coming across roses in the undergrowth. I lost count of the thorns I got in my hands. Eventually I realised that it was my garden and I could take them out if I wanted! So I did!! Just left a few lovely ones, which I admit to tending to within an inch of their lives!

But no, not my favourite things.
