Paying subs online
« on: November 29, 2017, 11:12 »
Just wondered if any of you can pay your annual fees or other payments online. I've spoken to a few others on my allotment who have received payment reminders in the post. They can never seem to be about when the steward is around and they just want to pay online. It isn't that difficult to set up and I could it for them, but I detect a distinct antipathy towards such modernity and don't want to get into a row.

All communications are in the dark ages rather than by email or other means. Maybe that's the way it's supposed to be.

Our "manager" sits at the lotty with his ledger every Sunday morning in October. We have to pay by cheque.

Same here. Must be easy to set up but if the members are anything like those in our Gardeners' Association, they may not even have internet access

I was wondering what the going rate is for your plots?
Mine is £40 per year for 25mtx13mt with water supply close by but no electricity on a private allotment.

We can pay the council direct here, but the website is very primitive!

Current cost is £56 per year for my full plot and as I'm a youngster I don't get any concessions.
